Virginia Real Estate Blog: Hampton Roads Weathers the Storm

Hampton Roads Weathers the Storm

Just a quick note to say that Hampton Roads was really walloped by theA street scene in Norfolk remnants of Hurricane Ida. Our home, along with thousands of others, was without power for more than 40 hours.   Many trees were felled, cars damaged by water, and basements inundated with rising groundwater (not so much flood water, thankfully!).     We are glad for sunny days and power!  Hope you all are surviving...

Bethany - I saw the news coverage !  Ouch !  I grew up in Va Beach and my parents lived in Ghent for many years.  It looked like some of the news coverage I saw was in Ghent.  Glad things are getting better !

I remember days like this when I lived there.  I went to school at ODU and I remember it being almost impossible to drive anywhere.  Glad you survived.
